Proved helpful for me. Alternative in whatever mod you want. Download the mod you want, and open the installer using a plan like Wine. Just make a folder on your desktop and set up all the mod documents in there. Proceed the folder 'ThirdAgé3' (or something Iike that, the whole mod anyways) into the Mod folder where the 4 Kingdoms strategies are usually (Americas, Teutonic etc).

Launch Medieval Total Battle 2, and in the Launcher Option window, move to the 'Advanced' tab at the top of the window. Toggle the package that states 'Advanced options' and in the text area best next to the package write '-features.mod=mods/Title OF THE MOD FOLDER', therefore for my 3 rd Age group mod it would become '-functions.mod=mods/ThirdAge3'.
